A Safe Place is a 3D animated adaptation of my published play of the same name.

Set in a dystopian world where brunettes are selectively farmed for consumption, the story explores the ethical realities of factory farming through a disturbing human perspective. By replacing animals with humans, it asks audiences to confront an unsettling question: if society normalised farming people, would that make it acceptable?

Through expressive 3D characters and stylised animation, the project brings the world of the original play to life while remaining faithful to its themes. It explores how prejudice, desensitisation, and social conditioning can shape morality, encouraging viewers to question the systems and beliefs that are often accepted without challenge.

Created as both an animated narrative and a thought-provoking social commentary, the film aims to spark conversation about factory farming, empathy, and the value of all living beings.
